Dorianne Arendse, graduated from Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) formerly known as Pentech in 2005 with a National Diploma in Journalism and in 2011 with a BTech Degree in Journalism.Shortly before completing her studies she started working at the Parliamentary Monitoring Group.
In 2009 she started working as a current affairs producer at a local community radio station.In 2010 and 2011 she won the regional leg of the Vodacom Journalist of the year award. During her time at the radio station she has interviewed top politicians like, Tokoyo Sexwale, the current Minister of Human Settlements, Trevor Manuel, the Minister of Planning in the Presidency, the Premier of the Western Cape, Helen Zille as well as the previous Mayor of Cape Town, Dan Plato and hopes to still interview the President of South Africa.In 2012 Arendse was named as one of the Mail and Guardian's Top 200 Young South Africans

ReplyDeleteCarlos Cardoso was a true inspiration. His work, principled journalism - that perpetually sought gave a voice to the voiceless, without favouring politicians or businessmen - and tenacity live on. Carlos was the ultimate epitome of journalism.
